Natural Source of Polyphenols from Organic
Biodynamic Olives from Fattoria La Vialla

The 2021 harvest

The polyphenols in a single jar of OliPhenolia

We have already said that besides hydroxytyrosol (found solely in the fruit and the leaves of olive trees) olives also contain many other polyphenols, all contained in OliPhenolia. In the table it is possible to see which, and how many* are found in each jar (2021 harvest).

* Method of Analysis HPLC. The concentrations of polyphenols vary according to the year and the type of olives. Here we have listed the average values measured in 3 samples analysed from different batches. Each individual pack contains detailed analyses regarding the polyphenols found in the relative batch (the action of the phytocomplex as a whole is not altered by the varying concentration of its components).

The polyphenols in olives

Polyphenols, such as the ones in olives, constitute a family of substances of plant origin; they are produced by the secondary metabolism of plants.
In particular hydroxytyrosol and oleuropein are only found in nature in the fruit and leaves of the olive tree.
The natural mixture of polyphenols in OliPhenolia also contains Tyrosol, Chlorogenic acid, Caffeic acid, Verbascoside, Luteolina-7-O-glucoside, Nuzhenide, Caffeoyl-secologanoside, 3,4-DHPEA-EDA, p-Coumaroil-secologanoside and many other uncharacterized ones.
Olive polyphenols (in particular hydroxytyrosol and its derivatives) have been the focal point of research regarding their properties for over 10 years, and there are already dozens of scientific publications on the subject.

OliPhenolia® is a natural biodynamic organic dietary supplement.
